CVLU Episode 2: How to Protect Your Home While Moving
hello Rick here with Colonial Van Lines
University the official training
facility of colonial Van Lines Welcome
to our Channel where we provide
specialized training for our moving
professionals today we’re going to
discuss protecting the home
[Music]
okay first thing we do is protect the
front door what we do is we take a
moving pad and we drape it over the top
of the door you secure the pad in place
using a rubber band then you tuck the
pad into the door and that holds it in
place so when you’re bringing a large
piece of furniture out you can use the
PAD as Extra Protection for the piece of
furniture here at Colonial Van Lines we
roll out the red carpet for our
customers
we use rug Runners to protect our
customers floors not only marble floors
but wood floors it’s a rubber backed mat
that we put down in highly trafficked
areas to protect the floor from dirt and
grime and scratches here at Colonial Van
Lines another piece of equipment we use
to protect our clients home is a door
jamb protector it’s a pad moving pad
that’s been cut down and there are three
Springs that have been sewn into it you
take the door jamb protector
and you hook the Three Springs
around the door jamb
this protects the paint and the door
jamb from chips and also gives you a
little bit more protection if you’re
bringing large pieces of furniture
through the doorway
okay folks today we discussed protecting
our customers home a very very important
part of the move and thank you for
learning with Colonial Van Lines
University today stay tuned for many
more training videos coming very soon
thank you
