how to prepare for your moves like a pro
today we’re going to talk to you about
moving your

appliances
okay let’s talk about washing machines
there are two types of washing machines
on the market today there’s a topload
where the drum sits on top of the axle
and it spins there it’s secure in the
machine you also have what are known as
frontload washing machines now the door
opens in the front the drum sits
horizontally and it is held in place in
the back by two Springs and in the front
by two shock absorbers
if we were to move that machine without
it being secured we would destroy the
machine it would become unusable so what
we need to have done is either you or a
third party company or our people can
come in and will’ll service the washing
machine there are four bolts that go in
the back of the washing machine that
pulls that drum back against the back of
the machine and it’s secures it so we’re
able to tip it back and move it to where
it needs to go so what we require if you
will is we get you guys to disconnect
your water lines from the wall we will
disconnect them from the back of the
machine and we will disconnect the drain
hose and we will put them in the drum
that way they’ll arrive at destination
we will reattach them to the machine we
will ask you to hook it up to the wall
we do not disconnect or reconnect uh
water lines now let’s talk about the
dryer dryer is very simple it’s very
simple all we do is unplug it take the
vent hose off of the back roll it up and
put it in the drum it arrives at your
house we will reattach the vent line
hook it up to its exhaust port in the
wall you and we’ll plug it in and you’re
ready to go okay so that’s washers and
dryers let’s do real quickly we’ll talk
about
refrigerators refrigerators these days
are a lot more modern than they used to
to be but with the Advent of the double
door and the ice
maker sometimes you have to take these
doors off take the handles off to work
them through the door so in the event
that we cannot get this machine out of
the out of the house sometimes we’ll
have to get a third party to disconnect
the doors we’ll put it on our truck get
to destination and reverse the process
take the doors off
move it in the house put the doors back
on you hook up the water lines you’re
