CVLU Episode 9: How to Pack Your Books for Moving

prepare for your moves like a pro today we’re going to talk to you about moving your

books so let’s talk to you about moving books we’ve all got plenty of them we always take them with us because they’re

like our kids so how do we move books safely well there’s a lot of different ideas on how to do it but what I like to

do is outp put some paper in the bottom of the box so it’s a clean surface and

I’ll take the books and I will put them standing up I don’t want to lay them flat they move better in my opinion if

you stand them up so we’re just stacking and we’re filling we’re stacking and we are filling trying to stay with the same

height of books if possible if not just kind of get them in there so they’re neat and they’re secure you get a

layer you fill it up as best you can just remember folks please don’t use

a 3.0 to fill up with books uh a 1.5 or a small box full of books probably

weighs 50 lb or more so if you use a big box to put your books in it’s going to be far too heavy for the movers to pick

up we’ll do it but we won’t be happy about it and when we put that heavy box on the truck it’s got to be on the

bottom because we don’t want to crush anything else with it so after we get our first layer of books in we’ll

take a little bit of paper create a little separation and it’ll be

clean so then we’ll go with another layer of books we’ll F the fill the Box up as

best we

can take a little more paper still any

voids cover the top of your books close the top up we’ll take it to
