Moving Company Reviews from Texans

Colonial Van Lines was the BEST company to move me across the country from New York to Texas; let me explain why. First, the sudden death of my brother meant that I had to move within a week. Colonial Van Lines was willing to work with me at the last minute AND give me a competitive price. Next, the teams that came to move my belongings were punctual and professional. Believe it or not, I have found only ONE broken item (and i take responsibility for it since I failed to use enough bubble wrap). Finally, there was a “point person” who kept me abreast of everything. My only complaint is that i did have to track down the company to get a clarification regarding a minor change in the amount charged. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Colonial Van Lines. Thank you guys for helping me in my time of need. -Sloane V

The Colonial Van Lines reps were excellent. They were very thorough, very attentive and helpful, and they were very good in follow up. The services and expectations set by my moving coordinator were accurate. The account manager was very organized and clear, and my experience with him was very good. The crew was there on time on the day that the move was scheduled, and they worked very well. They packed everything up very efficiently and effectively and then the moving van got to Dallas. We were given a window, which was over a week. But my stuff got to Dallas sooner, so that was terrific. -Gayle

I executed a strategic search for a moving company (including a scorecard). My move was from Texas to Tennessee. Colonial was the most cost-effective company coming out of the proposal process. I was cautioned by competitors (including links to unsatisfactory reviews) about Colonial.  However, from proposal to delivery, this company exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to use them again. -Billy L.
